Eleven local restaurants have been included in the coveted “Red.” An award that is a source of pride for the entire territory.

The quality, heritage, and excellence of Italy’s gastronomic culture are once again collected in the acclaimed Michelin Guide. Among the hills that embrace Franciacorta the award ceremony of the 68th Italian edition of the most coveted national and international restaurant guide.
The taste of the territory
The Campania region is featured in the Michelin Guide Italy 2023 with no less than 41 restaurants; 11 are located on our beautiful Amalfi Coast. Among the ten food temples, one new restaurant stands out: Sensi. Inside the Hotel Residence in Amalfi, Sensi was born in 2017 from three friends’ dreams and strong will. “I met chef Alessandro Tormolino in London, where we were both working. We connected immediately; we shared the same passions. So I proposed opening a restaurant in Amalfi with him, and he agreed. I then immediately called my best friend, Enzo Calaudi, who was already running the Hotel Residence, and he said, “that’s fine, but I want to be part of it too.” And we began this adventure,” says Pasquale Franzese, the restaurant’s room manager.
An uphill journey
A path punctuated by difficulties, commitment, determination, and many satisfactions that culminated in obtaining a Michelin star. “The years of sacrifices we have made until today,” Franzese says excitedly, “have been well rewarded. We started this project to achieve Michelin recognition, and we were on a roll when we got the call.” This a well-deserved achievement, not only by Sensi but all the restaurants included in the prestigious guide. Michelin judges made their evaluations following criteria, the same for the whole world, which were very precise, such as quality of raw materials, cooking technique, the personality of the cuisine, consistency over time, and value for money.
The winners
An achievement was reached by all of them thanks to their talents, discipline, perseverance, and continuous stimulus to improve and challenge themselves. A reason, therefore, for great pride, not only for the winners but for the entire area. Here is the complete list of the Amalfi Coast Michelin stars to whom we extend our congratulations:
