Original contemporary jazz, a dinner inspired by the food traditions of Campania and a panoramic terrace looking out across Praiano and the Amalfi Coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
On Thursday 30 July at 7:00 pm, the Valentina Ranalli Quartet<\/strong> will open the fifth edition of Margherita in Jazz<\/strong>, the summer series organised by Hotel Margherita. The performance will take place on the terrace of M\u2019Ama! Restaurant and will be paired with a specially created concert dinner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ranalli will be joined by Francesco Marziani on piano, Antonio Napolitano on double bass and Max del Pezzo on drums<\/strong>. Together, they will perform music from \u201cSETA\u201d<\/strong>, her latest album, released by Emme Record Label.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSETA\u201d: original jazz shaped by sound and storytelling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
A singer, composer and lyricist, Valentina Ranalli belongs to a new generation of Italian jazz musicians. She has worked with pianist Enrico Pieranunzi, with whom she recorded Cantare Pieranunzi<\/em>, toured in the United States and was named a Jazz R\u00e9v\u00e9lation<\/em> by the French publication Jazz Magazine<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cSETA\u201d is built around original compositions that bring together contemporary jazz, songwriting and a close attention to instrumental texture. The music moves between energetic ensemble passages and quieter, more intimate moments, with Ranalli\u2019s voice serving as both a melodic and narrative presence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The terrace of M\u2019Ama! provides a natural setting for this balance. High above the centre of Praiano, the concert unfolds alongside dinner and the changing evening light, allowing the landscape to become part of the rhythm of the experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
A concert dinner inspired by Campania<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
The performance will be accompanied by a menu created by chef Raffaele Mascolo<\/strong>, drawing on Campanian ingredients and local culinary traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The meal opens with three versions of montanara<\/em>: the classic fried dough topped with tomato and cheese, one served with anchovy and walnut sauce, and another with sweet-and-sour onion and raw tuna.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Next comes Ferrazzuolo alla Nannarella<\/strong>, one of the restaurant\u2019s signature dishes and a tribute to the great Italian actress Anna Magnani<\/strong>, affectionately known as Nannarella<\/em>. While filming Roberto Rossellini\u2019s L\u2019Amore<\/em> on the Amalfi Coast, between Maiori and Furore, Magnani was said to be particularly fond of this kind of fresh pasta.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Ferrazzoli<\/em> are made by wrapping narrow strips of dough around a thin metal rod. Once the rod is removed, the pasta retains a long, tightly curled shape whose grooves and twists hold the sauce particularly well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The menu continues with Praiano-style squid and potatoes<\/strong>, followed by a selection of bite-sized desserts and the Basil Swing<\/strong> signature cocktail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
M\u2019Ama! is a member of the Slow Food Cooks\u2019 Alliance and approaches contemporary Mediterranean cuisine through ingredients, producers and traditions rooted in the surrounding area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
