A meeting point between different musical traditions
24 July 2026, 9:00 pm – Belvedere Punta Corona, Agerola
A live set moving through jazz, pop, rock and blues, performed at a mountain viewpoint above the Amalfi Coast.
On Friday 24 July at 9:00 pm, saxophonist and composer Valerio Virzo will bring his Homo Sensorium Tour 2026 to Belvedere Punta Corona as part of Agerola’s Sui Sentieri degli Dei Festival. The concert features in the music programme of the festival’s fifteenth edition.
A meeting point between different musical traditions
The live project is based on Virzo’s 2025 album Homo Sensorium, a ten-track recording shaped by jazz, pop, rock and blues influences, with arrangements that also draw on the sound world of the 1980s.
Its title points to the sensory side of human experience. Rather than treating music simply as something performed on stage, the project explores how sound is felt, perceived and connected to the listener’s physical surroundings.
That approach finds a fitting setting at Punta Corona. Removed from the noise of the coastal towns, the open-air viewpoint places the performance within Agerola’s mountain landscape, allowing the atmosphere of the location to become part of the evening.
Why experience Homo Sensorium in Agerola?
To discover a crossover music project that moves freely between jazz, pop, rock and blues rather than staying within a single genre.
To hear live music at one of Agerola’s viewpoints, where the relationship between performance and landscape is central to the experience.
To explore a less familiar part of the Sui Sentieri degli Dei Festival programme alongside its larger headline events.
What to combine with your visit
Walk through Pianillo, Agerola’s administrative centre, before continuing towards Belvedere Punta Corona.
Spend the afternoon in Bomerano or follow the opening section of the Path of the Gods, choosing a walk suited to your experience, available time and the summer weather.
Try some of Agerola’s dairy produce, particularly its fiordilatte and cheeses, which reflect the farming traditions of the Lattari Mountains.
Language note
This is primarily a musical performance and can be enjoyed without speaking Italian. Some songs may include Italian lyrics, so understanding the language will add another layer to the experience, but the instrumental and musical elements remain accessible to international visitors.
