Wine, handmade pasta, local traditions and a meaningful social commitment will come together on Wednesday, 22 July, when Caruso, A Belmond Hotel, Amalfi Coast hosts a special edition of its Ditirambo Night series, dedicated entirely to women.

Set beside the hotel’s iconic infinity pool overlooking the Amalfi Coast, the evening will celebrate female entrepreneurship, regional culinary traditions and the women whose passion and expertise continue to shape the identity of Southern Italy.

Ditirambo Night was created to showcase the people behind Campania’s finest ingredients, bringing together outstanding local producers and Caruso’s Executive Chef Armando Aristarco to craft menus inspired by the region’s rich gastronomic heritage. Each event highlights the authenticity of local cuisine through seasonal ingredients, traditional recipes and carefully selected wines.

This year’s edition places women at the heart of the experience. Four distinguished wineries led by female entrepreneurs will present their labels, each representing a unique expression of Campania’s wine culture: Marisa Cuomo from Furore, Francesca Scairato from Castel San Lorenzo, Viticoltori De Conciliis from Prignano Cilento and Teresa Mincione from Caiazzo.

Guests will also enjoy a live demonstration of one of Cilento’s most iconic pasta traditions. The pasta makers from Gioi Cilento and Felitto will prepare the celebrated fusilli al ferretto by hand, recreating the friendly rivalry that has linked the two villages for generations, with each proudly claiming to produce the finest version of this beloved local specialty.

Representatives of AIS Campania – Amalfi Coast Delegation will be in attendance, alongside Maria Teresa Scarpa, Mayor of Gioi Cilento and spokesperson for the participating producers, and Giuseppe Scorza, Mayor of Castel San Lorenzo.

Beyond its gastronomic focus, the evening also carries a powerful social message. Reflecting the vision of General Manager Iolanda Mansi, the event will welcome the leadership of Le Kassandre, the Naples-based association chaired by Marianna Hasson, which supports women affected by domestic and gender-based violence through psychological counselling as well as theatre and music programmes that encourage personal growth, social inclusion and professional opportunities.

During the event, Caruso will officially announce its support for the association, reaffirming its commitment to helping combat gender-based violence and promote initiatives that empower women both within and beyond the local community.

Against the spectacular backdrop of the Amalfi Coast, guests will enjoy an evening where exceptional food, outstanding wines, live music and centuries-old culinary traditions come together in celebration of the people who keep them alive. More than a gastronomic event, this edition of Ditirambo Night is a tribute to the women whose dedication, creativity and resilience continue to preserve and enrich the cultural heritage of Campania.

On 22 July, Caruso invites guests to experience an evening where hospitality, tradition and social responsibility meet in one unforgettable celebration.
